Blue warehou west trigger limit about to be reached

06/08/2009

At 4 August 82 tonnes of blue Warehou (Seriolella brama) has been landed in the SESSF; 5 from the east and 77 from the west.  Initial trigger limits are 24 tonnes for the east and 86 tonnes for the west.

The trigger limit for the western stock is about to be reached.  When this occurs AFMA will write to you and request that you report weekly to Timothy.Emery@afma.gov.au or 02-6225 5368.  There is a second trigger limit that will be explained when this is approached.

Vessels should not be targeting blue warehou.
