The industry has agreed to a voluntary temporary closure in the area known as the Ling Hole and an area off Maria Island.  Exact positions are stated in the chart below and are shown on page 72 of the AFMA SESSF Management Arrangements Booklet April 2009.  The closure applies to SESSF operators (it does not apply to the small pelagic operation off Eastern Tasmania).

It is in the interests of the industry to manage our own destiny and observe the closure.  We urge all members and non-members to comply with the closure.
